San Diego gets ready for annual fair

April 29, 2013 by

The theme this year for the 2013 San Diego County Fair is ‘Game on!’ and it promises to be action packed. With a focus on games, the fair will present classic and nostalgia type games that adults will remember growing up and playing with friends and family. Evolution of board games, pinball, and video technology will be presented, starting in just over a month.

There will be many other exciting events including arts and crafts, competitive exhibits, the San Diego International Beer Competition and Homebrew contest, and exhibitions of animals and minerals.

Further shows at the fair include a Del Mar Classic Horse Show, Design in Wood, fine art, and a Flower and Garden Show. Wine displays and tastings will be included, paired with cheese in various exhibits, with both commercial and homemade wines to sample. Competitive exhibits are the heart of the fair, creating fun and thrill for all involved.

Exhibit space is available and can be reserved by contacting the San Diego County Fair offices. Vendors and exhibitors generally work with local print companies in preparing needed materials including banner printing. Banners are used to note the name and brand of vendors or include the exhibitor’s information. They are normally hung within the booth or draped to the front of the table.

Topping off the active days of the fair will be many evening concerts featuring well-known entertainers and action presentations. Many of the events are included with the fair admission. Visit the San Diego Fair website for complete information.

This popular Southern California event is scheduled for June 8 to July 4.
