San Diego all set for art ambush

What’s old is new in San Diego, as the previous Artwalk on the Bay is now ArtWalk San Diego @NTC Liberty Station. The event will take place the August at the NTC Promenade at Liberty Station.

The 8th Annual Festival will be near the bay in a flat park with grassy footing. Transformed in recent years, the San Diego Naval Training Center has become a hub for creative and artistic happenings. The venue is loaded with galleries, studios, and museums, as well as restaurants offering a spectacular view.

With the new dates for the ArtWalk being in August, new artists will be able to participate as the dates do not conflict with other major art shows. The Sausalito Festival in San Francisco takes place Labor Day weekend, so the ArtWalk artists can conveniently participate in both festivals.

Sponsor opportunities are available, and sponsorships typically gain high visibility for the entity providing it. Many festival organizers arrange for catalog printing to be done for the event. Catalogs normally include the schedule of events, performances, participants, a map, and sponsors, who can be listed throughout the catalog. Generally, a sponsor will be listed with the company name, logo, contact information and a general blurb about the business or benefactor.

Vendor applications are now being taken via the ArtWalk San Diego website, which is worth a visit for those looking for more information and applications. It will take place over August 24 and 25 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
