Taking place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, this year’s San Diego Pet Expo has many activities planned, including pet fashion shows, professional speakers, celebrity guests, and seminars.

The well-known pet show from Las Vegas, The Birdman Free Flight Bird Show, will present many types of interesting birds including falcons, eagles, macaws, storks, owls, parrots, and pigeons. Special guest speaker Martin Tyner, founder and CEO of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation, will offer the opportunity for attendees to meet his golden eagle named ‘Scout’. Mr. Tyner is the author of ‘Healer of Angels’ and is happy to autograph purchased copies of his book at the expo.

Several dog competitions are scheduled, including a Splash Dog competition, owner/pet look-alike contest, a Halloween costume contest, ‘Pet Idol’ singing contest, longest hair or fur awards, and the Teeny Weeny (smallest dog) and Gentle Giant (largest dog) contest.

Hundreds of pets looking for new, loving homes will be at the Pet Expo to meet prospective new parents through the adoption segment. There will be many adoption groups present to assist in helping interested persons in selecting a new pet. They will even set up appointments to meet with the potential adopting party at a park or nearby location to introduce the adoptable pet to other family members and pets.

Printing companies generally work closely with event organizers for large expos and shows of this type in providing print services such as banner and poster printing. As professionally printed communication is key to a successful event, print companies usually play an essential part in ensuring all goes well.
