New American musical: Hands on a Hardbody

From Friday, April 27th until Sunday, June 17th, 2012, a brand new American musical named “Hands on a Hardbody” will be playing at the La Jolla Playhouse, located just outside San Diego. The La Jolla Playhouse is located at 2910 La Jolla Village Drive in La Jolla, California. Performance times vary depending on the day, so to see the playbill visit the La Jolla Theatre’s website.

The book of the same name was written by Doug Wright and this production closely follows the storyline and is based on ten total strangers who are competing to buy the very same truck. Through this production, the various characters come to life and portray the individual personality types by competing in an endurance contest that not only tests the mind, but the competitor’s hearts and bodies. These contestants are challenged to stand and keep at least one hand on the hard body of the truck’s surface with a mission to see who can remain standing the longest. There can be only one winner, but this one truck holds the key to all of the contestant’s dreams.

This musical production is a world premier that is bound to become a great American classic with a number of well-known local actors and some extraordinary dance performances, this production is enchant the audience as no play has before.
