Mardi Gras on the way for March
February 28, 2014 by Sarah
The Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp District, one of the most loved evening street parties, takes place annually and is back in the area next week.
This is one of the largest block parties in this district and offers five stages of entertainment, 20 blocks worth of unique entertainment options, and a fantastic parade lineup. It is just the sort of event that often calls for promotion through poster printing.
This is the 20th annual Mardi Gras party in the Gaslamp district and this year it is bigger and better than ever, with two parade line-ups traveling through Fifth Avenue’s 12-block festival location. The second parade begins at 9:00 pm and has some unique entertainment, dancers, and floats.
Guests will enjoy food and drink specials at more than 25Gaslamp venues and restaurants and there is no cover charge to pay. Throughout the festival district, a number of street performances will take place with energetic and festive groups.
General admission tickets for this event cost $35 per person until March 3, and $40 per person at the gate.
Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp District will be happening on Fat Tuesday, March 4, from 5:00 pm to midnight with the entrances being at Broadway and 5th Street or L Street and 5th Street in San Diego, California, a short drive from Sorrento Valley. To purchase tickets, or check out the performers, please visit the San Diego Mardi Gras website.
