Family Campouts to take place at Lake Poway
July 25, 2013 by Sarah
Summer is a fun time for families and part of that fun is camping. On August 10 and 11 the Family Campouts at Lake Poway will take place. Located in the San Diego, California region, Lake Poway provides excellent adventures for families.
Lake Poway provides easy access for vehicles and the campout is loaded with planned activities. Some of those activities include guided night hikes, campfire activities including the beloved s’mores, pedal boating and fishing.
Families are required to bring along their own gear and equipment, food supplies to BBQ for dinner and charcoal. Participants may bring their own grills although grills will be on hand. Propane fire pits are allowed, but wood burning pits aren’t. No alcohol is permitted. A continental breakfast will be served free of charge at the event.
Campsite set-up may begin at 7:00 a.m. Cost is $52.00 for residents and $62.00 for non-residents. Price includes families of 5 maximum, additional attendees will be $10.00 each. Adults are responsible for supervising children in their groups.
Campouts similar to this take place across the country in the summer and are promoted in various ways. Banner printing is common as banners can be posted in the region to advertise the event as well as in the camping area as directional signage. Flyer printing is also a general method of communicating the planned activities to the public.
To register, visit Lake Poway website or call 858-668-4770. Space is limited so it is advisable to book registration soon to ensure a spot for the family.
