Del Mar Mud Run scheduled for October

August 9, 2012 by

October 6 is the date to remember for The Del Mar Mud Run, which will take place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego.

The Del Mar Mud Run celebrates its third year with this year’s event benefitting the Challenged Athletes Foundation’s Operation Rebound program. The CAF supports military personnel, veterans, and first responders living with permanent physical disabilities. The organization offers access to funding for various forms of equipment.

A 5K course is offering multiple mud pits and 17 challenging obstacles, including tunnels, cargo net crawls, and jump walls. Another featured attraction taking place throughout the day is a vendor village, providing a wide variety of gift items, art, crafts, specialty food, and other unique souvenirs. There will also be a DJ with live music and entertainment to keep the energy and fun flowing.

Events of this magnitude generally involve many printing service projects, such as banner, catalog, and poster printing. Banners are used as signage to highlight special booths, events, and points of interest, while catalogs normally note a schedule of events, locations of those events, and participants. Posters are a great form of announcement and advertisement in advance of a large activity to draw attention and interest.

The Del Mar Mud Run in San Diego still has openings for individual or team participation in the run, as well as vendor sign-up. They are also looking for volunteers to help with this huge event. Visit the Del Mar Mud Run website for more information and to register or volunteer.
