December Nights in Balboa Park celebration
November 25, 2012 by James
Balboa Park December Nights will ring in the holiday season, celebrating its 35th year leading one of the country’s largest holiday festivals.
The festival is family-friendly and gives everyone the opportunity to come together to enjoy the holiday season in a fun and entertaining cultural setting. Over 300,000 people are expected to attend this free festival.
With music and dance entertainment and performances, local and global bands and entertainers will provide shows throughout the event. The San Diego Junior Theatre, along with the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet, will present dance performances and presentations.
Due to take place on December 7 and 8, museums will offer free admission from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm, providing interesting displays, shopping opportunities, and Spanish Village artisans.
The International Christmas Festival at the House of Pacific Relations Cottages will offer many cultural and ethnic food specialties from all over the world. Tasting unique food dishes is one of the most popular features of the event.
Marketing efforts for events of this nature frequently include contracting with local printing companies to provide print services. Brochure, flyer, and poster printing are the most commonly requested projects, as these materials are successful in promoting the festivals and associated events and activities.
Banner printing is a standard part of festivals and other large organizational events. Banners are usually placed throughout the location to direct attention and traffic according to the master plan for the event. Banners hang high in the air and attract attention quickly, so they are very effective when used in this manner.
