Celebrating the holidays at Ocean Beach

October 24, 2012 by

An ideal place to start December, San Diego’s Ocean Beach will be the site of the 33rd Annual Holiday Parade. Known as one of Southern California’s best holiday season parades for the past 30 years, this year is sure to delight once again.

The surfing village of Ocean Beach transforms into a colorful and entertaining event with unusual parade performances by yoga studio members, roller derby girls, the VW Beetle Club, and classic Woodies. If that is not enough, there will be motorcycles, brightly lit floats, and an abundance of live music from local bands. Of course, the gentleman of greatest interest for many children, Santa Clause, will make his big appearance.

Many attendees arrive in holiday costumes – a practice encouraged by the event organizers to add more cheer to the festivities. Laughter, music, and dancing fill the crisp ocean air during this parade.

Printing companies normally work with event managers in coordinating print projects such as banner, flyer, and poster printing to help prepare for the promotion and communication efforts for festivals and parades. Local printing services are an important step in marketing events to boost attendance.

After the parade is over, many people enjoy the delicious and healthy food local restaurants have to offer. Others enjoy strolling the beachside streets, stopping in unique stores, and visiting boutiques. For some, heading to the beach to enjoy the waves rolling in tops off the perfect afternoon.

The event website has complete information about the event including the exact location and parking details. It all takes place on December 1 from 5:05 pm – 8:00 pm
