Big Bay Balloon Parade coming to Port of San Diego

November 25, 2012 by

Billed as “America’s Largest Balloon Parade” the Big Bay Balloon Parade will take place in the Port of San Diego on December 27, beginning at 10:00 am. A Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl Production, San Diego County Credit Union is presenting the event.

Coming alive on a crisp winter day, the parade will draw over 100,000 spectators to this family-friendly and fun event. The parade consists of huge hot air balloons and bands performing for the street lined audiences, as well as some amazing floats. The parade is telecast, so those people not able to attend in person can enjoy the festivities from their homes, thanks to Cox Communications.

The 16th annual Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals and Bumble Bee Foods 5K finals will kick off the festivities from the television area.

Citywide events of this nature often mean consulting local print companies to handle the production of required promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and banners. A banner printing company will be experienced in related events, so can be very helpful in assisting with the planning and execution of printing projects. Flyer printing is also usually an important part of promoting an event, as flyers can be printed en masse and distributed in advance.

The parade needs thousands of volunteers and is currently accepting applications. There are also openings for parade participants. The event organizers are constantly on the lookout for new and innovative ideas to enhance the parade experience. Visit the website for more information.
