Rodeo starts to ride at weekend

With the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo and an event featuring Jonah Lehrer taking place in the coming days, San Clemente residents and professionals can relish the opportunity to get involved.

The first of these happens to be the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo. Being held not too far from San Clemente in San Juan Capistrano, the rodeo is always a popular occasion. So far, it looks like everything is going as expected this year. Being held this weekend, August 25 – 26, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, and bull riding are just some of the events that spectators will be able to watch. With over $200,000 at stake for performers, it is hardly surprising that contestants, as well as individuals, have a vested interest in making this year’s Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo the best that it can be.

Since tickets have been set at a cost of $25 for adults, $10 for kids, and free for children below the age of 3, this should be an affordable occasion that the whole family can enjoy.

Printing companies are unlikely to be getting a break, however, with Jonah Lehrer, New York Times’ bestselling author of ‘Imagine: How Creativity Works and How We Decide’, speaking in Laguna Beach on August 27. Starting in the evening at 5:00 pm, Lehrer will be discussing his work. Priced at $65 per ticket, with some of the proceeds going to the Laguna College of Art and Design, this is another one worth checking out.
