Sacramento venue to host snow-packed festival

Winter sports enthusiasts will soon be gathering in Sacramento to attend an annual extravaganza. Over the weekend, The SnowBomb Ski and Snowboard Festival will be returning to the Cal Expo. Brochure printers are likely wrapping up a variety of orders as representatives from Northern California’s mountain resorts prepare to set up exhibition booths on the big day.

Attendees will be able to secure discount passes and other deals from their favorite skiing and snowboarding destinations. This year’s participating venues will include Sierra at Tahoe, Sugar Bowl, Dodge Ridge, Heavenly, and Kirkwood.

Additional exhibitors will be selling skis, snowboards, goggles, clothing, and other gear. These items will be available for as much as 70% off their regular market prices. Brands on sale will include North Face and K2.

The event will also feature a Kids Zone and live musical entertainment for all.

Those who attend will be able to choose from a general admissions pass ($10), the Powder Pass ($20), or the VIP+ Powder Pass ($40). Visitors who opt for the regular Powder Pass will automatically receive a pair of free lift tickets. VIP guests over 21 will have access wine and beer tastings.

Sponsors of this year’s festival include Subaru, OnTheSnow.com, and YP.com.

The SnowBomb Ski and Snowboard Festival is set for Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17. It will be open from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm on the Saturday and from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm on the Sunday.

The event will take place at 1600 Exposition Boulevard.
