Talent contest seeks local acts

The 2013 Loomis Basin Has Talent competition is currently seeking out local talent for this year’s contest. Loomis Basin is located approximately 10 miles to the northeast of Roseville, and the talent competition will be held throughout April and May at the Blue Goose Event Center.

Local talent contests, shows and other such activities are often announced to the community through the use of flyer printing or poster printing provided by local print companies. Banner printing may also be used at such occasions.

This year’s talent competition will include a variety of local performances, including dance, vocals, and bands. The Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the contest, for which all submissions will be judged by a professional panel in order to decide which entries will be considered for the preliminaries, semi-finals and, ultimately, the final contest at the end of May.

Those interested in applying to be a part of the 2013 Loomis Basin Has Talent event must submit a video by Monday, April 1, for consideration. Those entrants who are approved to take part in the talent contest will be required to register with a $30 participation fee, and will receive a T-shirt commemorating the event. The winner of the 2013 Loomis Basin Has Talent contest will be awarded with a cash prize. Finalists will also have various opportunities to perform live at other activities in the community throughout the year, including the Loomis Eggplant Festival.

Contest dates are scheduled for every Monday in April, as well as Friday, May 3. The finale contest will be held at the Blue Goose Events Center on Friday, May 31.
