Roseville holiday season kicks off the first week in December

November 25, 2016 by

A look at the calendars shows us holiday season is creeping up on us, and Roseville will begin it in style the first week in December.

Festivities will begin with Roseville’s first Ginger Bread House Contest. Houses will be on display for a month at the Civic Center.

Santa will spend an evening reading Christmas stories to the little ones, and a free one-hour live Christmas performance will entertain families.

The trees that local organizations, businesses and school will be decorating in the Town Square will be lit on one night, and the city’s official Christmas tree will be lit the next. Children will decorate Christmas cookies, visit Santa, and play in the Kids Activity Zone. There will also be music and holiday goodies for sale.

The movie ‘Elf’ will bring families out to enjoy a celebration that includes hot chocolate, and popcorn.

The week will end with a pancake Breakfast with Santa. An Elf Workshop will have everyone making crafts, and playing Reindeer Games. The children can visit with Santa.

That same day, the Maidu Community Center & Library will be holding its 25th Annual Holiday Craft Fair & Book Sale, and the Maidu Museum will be holding its annual All Nations Native Craft Fair.

Also that day, Fire Station #3 will be having an Open House. Most of these events will take place on Town Square unless otherwise noted. Please check Nextdoor.com for exact times and dates.
