Roseville Utilities will be celebrating Earth Day with its 10 annual The Earth Festival.

Live entertainment on the Main Stage will include Ant Bee (a front porch rock group), Mad Science and Wild Things animal shows.

Kids activities will include face painting, and Roseville PD’s K-9 unit’s demonstrations. The Scavenger Hunt will require players to download a free Scavity app, begin answering eco-friendly trivia and heading out to the festival for pictures. There will be prizes as well.

Local food will be provided by food trucks by Sacto Mofo. Other treats will be Kazoku Teriyaki, Dave’s Dawgs, and Shave Ice.

Three zones – Live Waste Free, Water Smart, and Empower our Community – will have booths that will focus on green technology. Local businesses will be giving demonstrations, directing interactive activities, and passing out flyers with information about their goods and services. Green vendors will be selling merchandise that will help guests improve their carbon footprints.

In honor of Earth Day, festivalgoers are encouraged to use the free bike parking corral and the free bus service for Routes D and M. Cyclists will receive free bicycle-themed gifts and can enter the drawing for a FitBit activity tracker. Roseville Transit riders will also be entered in the FitBit drawing.

The event will be Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm in Mahany Park at 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd. here in Roseville.
