Redondo Beach stays active this August

If the calendar is anything to go by, Redondo Beach has an active August ahead. Between the 10th Annual Chalk Art Festival, the 2011 Leadership Class-hosted ‘Red Hot Night of Comedy and Music’, and the Annual Regional Mixer, local printing companies have probably found themselves incredibly busy this month.

Things began quickly enough with the 10th Annual Chalk Art Festival on August 18. Being hosted at the Redondo Pier from noon until 4:00 pm, this artsy event was one towards which the whole family could look forward. With a broad range of skill levels and ages represented in the artists, it is worth pointing out that the festival has traditionally enjoyed a high level of popularity.

Later the same day, the 2011 Leadership Class hosted its ‘Red Hot Night of Comedy and Music’. Slightly different in that it started in the evening at 7:00 pm and then wrapped up at around 1:00 am, the night was nothing short of entertaining. Featuring a silent auction as well as comedy improv and live music, those who attended received an excellent opportunity to show some support for a worthy cause in the form of the 2011 Leadership Redondo Bike Rack Project.

Even so, brochure printers and other specialist print companies still will not be slacking, with the Redondo Chamber Regional Mixer being hosted tomorrow, August 22. Also based primarily around letting people meet in a no-pressure setting, this annual meet-up is a legitimate chance to interact with potential contacts based in nearby markets. Whichever way one looks at it, there are clear reasons to give the Regional Mixer a try.
