Annual ‘Fall into Adventure’ fundraising event takes to runway

November 6, 2012 by

The 2012 ‘Fall into Adventure’ fashion show took place on October 26 in King Harbor. The event, hosted by the Women’s Club of Redondo Beach, is a fundraising activity designed to help the non-profit organization raise funds for the various projects and charities the Women’s Club helps support.

This year’s event was not your average fashion show. Not only were the models sporting fashions provided by CJs Fashions in Torrence, but appearances were made by such well-known female adventurists as Sacajawea, Mountain Charlie, Sally Ride, and Jane Goodall. The Wicked Witch of the North, from the famous ‘Wizard of Oz’, also made an appearance as she swept in on her broom at the end of the show.

Annual fundraising activities, drives, and other events often use poster or flyer printing to announce the event to the public and raise awareness about the cause within the community. Events such as the fashion show may also use banner printing to welcome guests, and even business card printing to provide visitors with business information.

The ‘Fall into Adventure’ fundraising fashion show was commentated by Cynthia Cohen, owner of CJ Fashions. According to those at the activity, Cohen certainly added her own bit of flair to the activity. Pat Dreizler, president for the Women’s Club, commented:

“She’s so energetic and upbeat, a veritable love-fest when it comes to women and fashion.”

With each year’s events seemingly providing more talking points than the last, no doubt plans are already being discussed for the 2013 event.
