Redding to get A Little More Action

October 12, 2016 by

In just a few days, the Redding Civic Auditorium will be the location of the next TEDxRedding.

This independently organized event called ‘A Little More Action’ will be a series of 18-minute-or-under talks given by local expert speakers and performers.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) talks and conferences have been around since 1984, and Redding has been a part of it since 2011. The events aim to foster, inspiration, learning, and wonder by bringing together creative, inventive people who share their knowledge, skills, and talents in the three fields within the acronym.

Most of the talks will be given by talented people around the Redding area. However, some of the best recorded TEDTalks from TED.com will also be presented. Following the talks there will be a complementary reception. Catalyst Redding Young Professionals can be thanked for making this event possible.

To get a good idea of what to expect, those interested can go to TED.com and view some of the talks. It may be a good idea to bring along updated digital business cards to exchange with others who are also interested in these fields.

The event is slated for this Saturday, October 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Redding Civic Auditorium, 700 Auditorium Drive. The reception will be 5:00 until 7:00 pm. General admission will be $36 and student tickets will be $27.
