Redding outdoors enthusiasts invited to Sports Show
February 25, 2014 by Max
Redding outdoor enthusiasts can soon experience the NOR-CAL BOAT, RV & SPORTS SHOW, now in its 28th year. The event is just a 15-minute drive away.
As in the past, more than 100 exhibitors will be on hand to display and sell everything recreational, from RVs, boats and camp trailers, to fishing tackle, camping accessories and wildlife art.
Of special interest this year will be the guides and resort companies from Alaska and Canada offering special package deals. Other features of this event will be the Bass Bin fishing seminars and the chainsaw carving demonstrations. Again this year, the ever popular Splash Dogs will be on exhibit, where dogs compete in dock jumping and diving events for national rankings. The show is likely to be an excellent event for picture taking, and therefore future postcard printing.
Of course, the show would not be complete without food. This year, the Iron Chef Cook-off will kick things off, followed by the Dutch Oven cook-off and then the BBQ Cook-off on the last day.
Kids can enjoy the free trout fishing pond (provided they are 12 or younger), pony rides, and packing demos. All during the show Seemore Salmon BBQ sales will be raising money for the kids Back Country Horsemen encampment.
The Sports Show will be held February 28, and March 1 and 2 at the Shasta District Fairgrounds, Anderson.
