Holiday tradition cascades through Redding

A long-time Christmas tradition is returning to Redding late this fall and winter. The Cascade Theater and Jefferson Public Radio will once again present a delightful showcase of holiday musical theatre.

‘A Cascade Christmas’, produced by Jana Pulcini-Leard, will run for two weeks at the historical Cascade Theatre starting the weekend after Thanksgiving. A total of nine performances of A Cascade Christmas are scheduled to take place during the holiday season.

This time of year typically brings with it a number of holiday traditions celebrated within a community. Businesses, organizations, and other groups often celebrate the season with a variety of holiday-themed activities open to the public. Traditional community holiday events, performances, and other activities are often announced to the public through banner printing, flyer printing, and other advertising means.

The Cascade Theatre is located in Redding at 1731 Market Street. The first performance is scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 23. There will be two performances on opening day, with the first beginning at 2:00 pm and the second commencing at 7:00 pm. Matinee showings and additional evening performances will continue through the weekend, as well as the next Thursday through Saturday. Throughout the extent of the run, some morning performances will also be held by special arrangement for area school trips.

Tickets for A Cascade Christmas can be purchased by calling 530-243-8877 or by visiting The Cascade Theatre website. The U.S Bank is the sponsor of this year’s performance series.
