Enactrus Team to host food drive

April 9, 2013 by

The Enactrus Team at the San Joaquin Valley College in Rancho Cucamonga will be hosting a food drive to benefit area food banks this weekend.

The ‘Let’s Can Hunger’ program is sponsored by the Campbell Soup Company, and is used as an initiative to encourage Enactrus teams located across the United States to demonstrate a collective approach in the fight against hunger.

Organizations or groups that hold food drives or other such collection activities may use poster printing or flyer printing to raise awareness about the effort within the community. Banner printing may also be used to attract attention from passers-by, who may have something to drop off.

Members of the San Joaquin Valley College Enactrus Team are asking other students and members of the community and surrounding area to help support their food drive effort. Those interested in assisting can donate a bag or box of food by dropping it off at the drop-off point at Albertsons Market on the day. Only non-perishable food items can be accepted, such as canned vegetables or fruits, canned or boxed soups, rice, pasta, and cereal. Items collected at the food drive will be evenly distributed to food banks throughout the surrounding area.

The charitable event is scheduled to be held this Saturday, April 13 at Albertsons Markets. Member of the Rancho Cucamonga San Joaquin Valley College Enactrus Team will be available throughout the day to collect food donations at Albertsons Market, located at 8850 Foothill Boulevard in Rancho Cucamonga.
