Pleasant Hill Community Center set to host grand opening

January 11, 2014 by

The new Pleasant Hill Community Center will be holding its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at the end of this month, and everyone is invited. The ceremony will take place on location at 320 Civic Drive. The ribbon cutting will begin at 1:45 pm, and the grand opening event will continue until 5:00 pm.

Construction started on the new community center back in the summer of 2012. The new facility is an almost 22,000 square foot, one story building. It includes a large new event room, a pre-school, and several multi-use rooms. The construction project also added improvements like increased handicap accessibility in the parking lot, new pathways for pedestrians, and better facilities for filtering storm water runoff.

Community members attending the grand opening ceremony will have the opportunity to explore the new facility. Live entertainment will entertain the guests, and local catering will be providing tasty treats. The new preschool wing will be open and featuring fun activities for kids. Helpers will also be on hand to present live demonstrations of recreation programs and to help attendees register for new classes. More information about the new community center and other community recreation programs is available on the Pleasant Hill Recreation web site.

With the event taking place on Sunday, January 26, a grand opening ceremony for a long-awaited recreation center is an effective way to introduce community members to aspects of their neighborhood they might not know about. A local printing company can help spread the word by creating high quality marketing materials that can be both eye-catching and informative.
