The Bruery, located in Placentia, helped the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana raise $21,000 with a beer tasting event held in Anaheim last month.

Members of The Bruery’s Reserve Society put the fundraising activity together with the assistance of more than 40 volunteers, who consisted of staff from The Bruery and members of the Boys & Girls Club.

The beer tasting event was held at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim and featured a large variety of craft beers. Everything from The Bruery’s usual beer stock, such as Hottenroth Berliner Weisse, to extremely limited-edition craft beers, was available to beer tasters. Some of the more limited-edition beers offered included such interesting ingredients as boysenberries, fresh roasted coffee, and other unique ingredients. Over 1,100 members of the Reserve Society were in attendance at the fundraising activity and were given the chance to sample 10 craft beers offered by The Bruery, as well as various food items supplied by Haven Gastropub.

Fundraising activities, charity drives, and other such community events are typically advertised with poster printing or flyer printing distributed or posted throughout the area to alert citizens to the cause.

The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana serves young people in the area, providing them with a healthy and positive environment for learning. Many of the children and families who are served by the Boys & Girls Club are affected by a variety of issues, like teen pregnancy, club violence, poverty, and lack of healthcare access.
