High school coach to be inducted into Hall of Fame
May 20, 2013 by Mark
John Barnes, the Los Alamitos High School head football coach, is to be honored at an annual banquet later this summer as he is accepted into the California High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Los Alamitos is located approximately 20 miles to the east of Placentia, where Coach Barnes resides.
Barnes is being recognized for his leadership of the Los Al High Griffins, which he has coached to victory over 300 times. When Barnes hit his 300th win, he was placed in the company of only three other coaches in California who have reached that milestone. He is recognized as the coach in Orange County with the most wins. Coach Barnes has previously been inducted into the Long Beach Hall of Fame and the Los Alamitos Hall of Fame. Barnes has been employed at the Los Alamitos High School since 1979, and many of the kids he coached went on to play professional sports.
Annual awards dinners and banquets to honor individuals may require printing services from print companies throughout the area to provide a variety of advertising materials, such as flyer printing or poster printing. Brochure printers may be utilized to provide program information at such activities as well.
The annual banquet to induct Barnes will be held on June 15 in Fresno. The banquet and awards night will be at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, located at 2233 Ventura. Tickets for the banquet are $45 per plate. Further information can be obtained by calling 559-268-1000.
