The Boys & Girls Club of Brea-Placentia-Yorba Linda held the 2nd annual community fair at the Brea clubhouse on Saturday, September 8. It took place from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at 502 South Sievers Avenue in Brea.
The afternoon included games, entertainment, bounce houses, tournaments, prizes, and a number of other fun activities for all ages. Cotton candy and other fair food and drinks were also available to those in attendance. Entertainment scheduled on the day included Shady Street, the Brea Olinda High School band.
Community events hosted by local organizations may choose to utilize area printing companies to help them spread the word throughout the community and surrounding area about the event through poster printing or flyer printing. Banner printing might also be used at such activities to direct those in attendance to a specific area or to welcome guests.
In addition to Brea, the club runs a variety of other programs in schools at Yorba Linda and Placentia. Dan Rodriguez, who currently serves as Chief Professional Officer, reports that the transportation program of the club has recently been reinforced. It currently transport kids from five Yorba Linda locations after school to programs located in Bernardo Yorba. The passenger vans are also able to transport students from various schools in Placentia and Yorba Linda to the clubhouse in Brea.
The Boys & Girls Club also has school-based programs in effect at five Placentia locations. Rodriguez reports that a committee is currently being formed to help boost the programs in Placentia.
