New Youth Orchestra is music to the ears of San Diego County
January 6, 2014 by Mark
This month, San Diego residents, including those in Oceanside, can experience a musical treat.
The New Youth Orchestra is putting on an afternoon concert featuring three different Intermediate NYO Ensembles: Orchestra 1, Orchestra 2, and the NYO concert band. NYO Advanced Ensembles, including Orchestra 3 and the Select Wind Ensemble, will be playing in the evening.
The New Youth Orchestra’s mission is to encourage and educate great musicians. In the coming year, it has opportunities for musicians aged 5 to 20 years. It is likely that a variety of printing services have been used to let people in the area know about the 2014 winter concert. Brochure printers can be utilized for colorful handouts to inform families and young musicians about programs like this.
Advanced ticket prices are $20 for an adult, $10 for children 12 and under, and $10 for seniors. Bought at the door, all tickets cost $5 extra. In either case, they are good for the intermediate and advanced concert.
In addition, 20% of the ticket total proceeds will be divided equally between a group of five charities selected by the Orchestra.
The intermediate concert takes place on January 18 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, while the advanced concert is from 6:30 – 7:30 pm that evening. Both performances are located at the Bethel Baptist Church located on 855 Brotherton Rd in Escondido. Additional questions can be posed by calling the office at 858- 877-3696.
