Creativity showcased at San Diego Mini Maker Faire
December 2, 2013 by Mark
Creative individuals are in luck this month, as the San Diego Mini Maker Faire is in town and hopes to encourage resourcefulness through science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Exhibitors are able to showcase their work while attendees can learn from the inventions.
The event will feature an array of science fair projects, arts and crafts exhibits, and technology innovations. In addition, there will be food, music, and entertainment at this family-friendly event.
Along with seeing robots, rocket launches, and other eye-catching inventions, there will also be a chance to take part in some hands-on activities. For instance, attendees can make a racecar or a marshmallow shooter, while kids can enjoy the Frisbee-shooting robots.
People from all over San Diego, including residents from Oceanside, are likely to want to attend this fair. It is probable that local print companies have provided fliers and banners to advertise this event.
Advance tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.com until December 6. Advance student, military, or senior tickets are $7, while adults are $10. There is also a small fee for purchasing tickets online. Adult tickets will be $12 at the door while a child’s ticket is $8. Children under the age of two are free. Parking costs $10 per car.
The Mini Maker Faire takes place on December 7 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and will be held in Bing Crosby Hall at the Del Mar Fairground, which is located at 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard in Del Mar, Ca 92014.
