Art and literature come to Oceanside this month

Oceanside residents are getting a chance to get out and enjoy the wonderful weather with “Art After Dark” and a “Book Fair Fundraiser” being hosted towards the end of the month.

It all begins on Friday, June 22 with Art After Dark’s “Cruisin’ Culture.” Featuring custom cars, live entertainment, and drinks, there’s a good time to be had by everyone at this one. Of course, all this is while not mentioning the fact that dancers and even a fashion show are expected to take place as well. Starting at 7:00 pm and ending a full three hours later, Oceanside residents who want to be in on the action have every reason to be excited about everything taking place here. The appetizers and desserts available, courtesy of BCDC Restaurant, Fashionate Boutique, and Harney Sushi, are just the icing on the proverbial cake.

Priced at $20 for members of the Oceanside Museum of Art and $30 for those without membership, those who are interested in attending can register either online or by calling the museum directly for tickets.

Another event that printing companies are likely hard at work ahead of is the “Book Fair Fundraiser,” which kicks off on June 26. Being held for the better part of the day, with an official time slot of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm listed on the site, book lovers have plenty of bargain-hunting to look forward to as well with most items going for one or two dollars. Going until July 3, this is another chance for residents of all ages to enjoy themselves.
