Movie Day in Oakland

The Paramount Theatre of the Arts will host a movie classic day featuring “Roman Holiday”. The 1953 classic features Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck and is an all-time favorite of many.

The movie runs nearly two hours and presents a princess visiting Rome for the first time. She sneaks away from her chaperones to experience the wonders of the city on her own, incognito.

The princess inevitably meets a reporter having difficult times played by Gregory Peck. As Peck is looking for the big scoop, Hepburn is looking to live life as a commoner with no royal responsibilities. Love will bloom as the two meet.

The movie was the one of the first films to be shot on location in Hollywood. It received an Academy Award for Best Screenplay. Audrey Hepburn was honored with both a Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Actress. This movie essentially launched her very successful Hollywood career. Eddie Albert also starred in the movie.

Poster printing is a frequent request for theatrical events of this nature. The poster depicts the characters and general information about the presentation. Printed in full color using a gloss finish will create an eye-catching poster. The posters can be mounted throughout the city in high traffic areas on walls, doors, windows and pillars.

The movie event will take place February 28 at 8:00 p.m. Ticket price is $5.00 and the box office opens at 6:00 p.m. The Paramount Theatre is located on Broadway in Oakland. For further information call 510-465-6400.
