The 40th Anniversary Run Seal Beach event has been scheduled for Los Alamitos in April. A choice of a 10K, 5K Run, walk or 1K kid’s event is available. The events will take place on Marina Drive at Seal Beach in Los Alamitos.

The Run Seal Beach event benefits local recreation and fitness programs. The path winds through the historic Old Town neighborhood. A fun zone for the children will be available during the event.

Awards will be given to the top three finishers within each of the 18 divisions. Special awards will also be distributed for the overall winners in the 5K and 10K events. Other awards will be presented, as well.

The non-profit Run Seal Beach activity is managed by an all-volunteer group. With approximately 6,000 people attend this event each year. As can be imagined, hundreds of people are needed to organize and manage a large event of this type.

Banner printing is an important facet for managing a large outdoor activity. The banners serve as visible signage for the runners as well as the spectators. Constructed of heavy vinyl with either printed or applied lettering, the banners can withstand weather conditions. They are typically hung high between polls, posts or trees so they can be easily seen. The banners are also used within the venue to highlight featured areas such as concessions, entertainment or exhibitors.

The 40th Anniversary Run Seal Beach is scheduled for April 5, 2014 beginning at 7:30 a.m. Details and registration information can be found on the event website.
