July 10, 2013 by James
The Back Bay Bistro at Newport Dunes is the site for a seminar that will teach participants ‘Self-Marketing Power: How to Attract a Client, Get a Job, or Make a Difference in the Community’.
Jeff Beals will provide insight into job creation for young professionals. Beals is a busy man, being an author, television and radio talk show host, and part-time college professor.
The seminar teaches that personal branding is an important component for job seekers and may be the one thing that sets one applicant out from the crowd making them more attractive to hire. This event is geared to young marketing professionals ages 18 – 30 who are seeking to promote themselves to businesses and who wish to network with other professionals in the marketing field.
Tips will include how to use the media to promote a personal brand, get results from networking, become a ‘celebrity’ among a sphere of influence, and develop into a source for news stories.
Complimentary appetizers will be provided and there will be a no host bar. Parking will be validated for attendees.
Registration is $5 – $20, and check in begins at 5:45 pm. Dress is business casual, and those attending should remember that business card printing and digital business cards are very useful when networking with other business professionals.
