First ever tree lighting ceremony in Los Alamitos to kick of holiday season
November 20, 2012 by Mark
Los Alamitos is kicking of the holiday season with its very first tree lighting ceremony to take place at the start of December. The festive holiday activity, labeled Winter Wonderland at the Plaza, will be created with the help of artificial snow to heighten the festive holiday spirit of the evening. In addition to the tree lighting ceremony, other activities and features at the event will include Santa’s village, refreshments, and entertainment that will be provided by various Los Alamitos Unified School District students.
Special holiday events and activities within a community often mean extra business for area printing companies. Banner printing and poster printing are typically used at such events to welcome spectators or to draw attention to a specific area. Flyer printing may also be needed for community activities such as this to raise awareness about the event. In addition, local businesses in the area may run special advertisements and deals at this time.
Winter Wonderland at the Plaza, which marks the first ever tree lighting event for Los Alamos, is sponsored several well-known local organizations, including Pacific Medical Buildings and AYSO 159. The city of Los Alamitos has partnered with the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals in order to introduce this new and exciting community activity.
The inaugural ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 2. The holiday event will occur at the St. Isidore Historical Plaza from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
