Busy week ahead for businesspeople and brides

After spending hours conducting research and performing lab or field work, it would be shame to lose all that hard work, and an upcoming workshop hopes to show how implementing a data management plant can ensure that all hard work remains safe.

‘Writing a Successful Data Management Plan’ will take place about half an hour’s drive away from Los Alamitos, but it will be time well spent if it helps to save countless hours of work. A data management plan is also required by many of the grant funders, including the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation.

The workshop will walk participants step by step through writing a successful plan. Included will be instructions on using the DMPTool, which is a free and interactive website used for writing such plans.

This class will be conducted at noon tomorrow, April 24, at the UCLA Biomedical Library classroom, 12-077 Center for Health Sciences, Los Angeles.

Later that same day, it may not be rocket science but the OC’s Best Bridal Networking Event will definitely be fun. Held at 6:30 pm tomorrow at the Long Beach Skylink Golf Course in Long Beach, this event will be inspiring to brides from all over Los Alamitos.

Only 15 minutes away, it will showcase wedding professionals, social tools, and bridal events. For brides, this is an opportunity to check out the two wedding locations: overlooking the first fairway of the golf course or on the waterfall lawn.

Brides can attend free, while vendors pay $15. For those planning a wedding, invitations, RSVPs, and announcements can all be created with the help of stationery printers.
