Patchwork to stitch itself together in Long Beach
September 25, 2013 by Mark
Long Beach is home of the Patchwork Festivals that take place frequently throughout the year. The November event will take place at the Marine Stadium near the boat slip on Appian Way.
The festival will host more than 100 local vendors offering handcrafted items, photo booths, food artisans’ booths, live music, and food trucks.
Vendor applications are being accepted. Many vendors work with local print companies in ordering needed supplies for exhibitions at festivals and outdoor events. Business card printing is a frequent order as vendors like to have them to give out to visitors to their booths. Ideally visitors will contact them later to do business or purchase goods as a result of meeting at the festival.
The Patchwork Festival is scheduled for November 17 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Admission is free. The event is pet-friendly and offers an opportunity for a relaxing afternoon for a stroll along the beach while perusing the various crafts and food dishes available at the festival. The area is also ideal for bike riders with paths throughout the beach area. Children are welcome at the event, as well.
The event organizers have partnered with ‘We Love Long Beach’ and also work with local merchants such as Blue Windows, The Bicycle Stand, Viento y Agua Café, Fingerprints, and Native Soul. Marketing the city is a strong initiative for the leaders of Long Beach to ensure continuous and stable tourism as well as activities for the residents.
