Long beach thinks about drinks

The World Tea Expo, along with the Healthy Beverage Expo, has been moved to Long Beach, located in Southern California. The event is expected to keep about 50% of the hotels in the city booked up, and will utilize two-thirds of the Long Beach Convention Center.

Event and city organizers believe with the expos taking place in Long Beach, more locals and ‘walk-ins’ will attend the show. Long Beach is known for its mild climate and various activities.

The two events are co-hosting together and share the theme of ‘Re-think Your Drink: Better Beverages, Better Business’ patterned after the campaign in place with Long Beach, which is called ‘Re-think Your Drink’. Long Beach is reputed to place great focus on living a healthy lifestyle, so the point of decreasing the drinking of sugar sweetened beverages fits in with this.

With more than 460 retail tea stores in Southern California and about 400 health food stores, participation in the expos is expected to be strong. Approximately 61% of previous participants are located on the west coast.

Vendors will no doubt work with local print companies in preparation for materials needed for the show. Banner printing is a common request, as the banners are mounted in the vendor’s exhibition space. The banner will often depict the name of the vendor and the product or service.

The pair of expos will take place on May 29 – 31, 2014. More information is available at either of the websites, along with contact information.
