Share the good vibes in Antelope Valley

December 21, 2016 by

The Good Vibes 2017 Tour Color Vibe 5K is taking place next month in Antelope Valley. Proceeds from the run will go to help local community organizations.

The run allows participants to throw color at each other, reminiscent of what happened during the Hindu Spring Festival of Holi in India. In 5K’s the color is usually made of cornstarch. It makes for a fun event while helping to raise money to help the less fortunate.

Participation fees are $45 in advance or $65 on the day of the race; two children can run for free with each paid adult. Runners will receive a T-shirt, two temporary tattoos (Good Vibes and Color Vibe), a color pack, a race bib, and sunglasses. Everyone who completes the run will get a finisher’s medal.

Select vendors will be on hand to sell food and other items. Organizers are still looking for volunteers and sponsors for this event.

Participants will no doubt come from all over the valley, including from Lancaster. The printed items they will receive with their registration will likely be provided by a local printing company.

The Good Vibes 2017 Tour Color Vibe 5K will be held at the Palmdale Amphitheater on January 21, beginning at 9:00 AM. For the latest information about this event, and to register, visit the official Color Vibe website.
