The BLVD is the site of this year’s popular Scion All-American Concert Series.

The first concert got underway at 6:00 pm yesterday, May 30, with One Way Ticket, a Beatles tribute band, performing on the Bex bandstand stage located on the corner of Lancaster Boulevard and Ehrlich Avenue.

Concerts like these will be performed in conjunction with the weekly Farmers Market held each Thursday on Lancaster Boulevard.

Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris said:

“There is no other place in the Antelope Valley where people can specialty shop, listen to live music, dine, take in a show and purchase fresh produce all on the same downtown street.

“The Sierra Toyota Scion All-American Concert Series definitely makes The BLVD the most diverse gathering spot for people of all ages to enjoy.”

Scheduled performers will play funk, jazz, pop, country, rock, salsa, Latin flamenco, and R&B music every Thursday through October 10.

Upcoming performances include the Caravan Band with Latin and flamenco music on June 6 and the Tessarae Band with funky R&B music on June 13.

The Farmers Market features fresh produce for sale as well as vendors offering unique and handcrafted items. The BLVD shops and restaurants are open during the market hours as well.

For more information, call the Lancaster parks and recreation department at (661) 723-6077. The city of Lancaster often uses banner printing to advertise its local community events for residents and visitors. The concert series is co-sponsored by Bex Grill Restaurant, Sierra Toyota, and the city of Lancaster.
