Fundraiser brings guests back to the past

The Heartsounds charity gala is taking place next month in Lancaster. It is a fundraiser for the Children’s Center of Antelope Valley.

The theme of the gala is ‘Old-Time Cuba’. Guests will be treated to hors d’oeuvres and cocktails to be followed by a sit-down gourmet dinner, which will likely include some Cuban-inspired dishes. During the evening, they will be entertained by music and dance from the Caribbean island. There will also be silent and live auctions; some of the items that are expected to be up for bid are vacation packages and African safaris. These items will be donated by local businesses and individuals who support the cause.

The Children’s Center of Antelope Valley is an organization that helps to provide healthcare for victims of abuse and neglect. It also helps those children who are at risk and works closely with families.

It is likely that invitations will be sent out to people who have supported the organization in the past, perhaps provided by a Lancaster stationery printing firm.

The Heartsounds charity gala will be held at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster on February 18 beginning at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $125 each or $1,000 for a table of eight. To find out more about the event or the Children’s Center of Antelope Valley, call 661-949-1206.
