Trio of computer-active workshops to log on to

September 10, 2013 by

There are three different classes available this weekend for those interested in learning how to program and increase their productivity with software.

First up is the Coder Dojo class for kids ages 5 – 17, which will teach them either Scratch or HTML (hypertext markup language). Four workshops will be held on Saturday, September 14. The first two classes will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and they are ‘Intro to Scratch’ and ‘Intermediate/Advanced Scratch’.

The second two classes will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm that day, and they are on ‘Intro to HTML’ and ‘Intermediate/Advanced HTML’.

Classes will be held at Fast Start Studio, 15550 Rockfield Boulevard in Irvine, right next door to Lake Forest. Each child can only attend one class, and participants should bring in a laptop with charger and have Scratch installed (if needed). Students age 12 and younger need to be accompanied by an adult.

For adults, there will be a bootcamp on Sage CRM beginning at 9:00 am on Monday, September 16, at the Sage North American office, 6561 Irvine Center Drive.

This course is for business partners and certified consultants who use Sage CRM (customer relations management) software in their business. It will be explained in detail how to implement the program into a variety of different departments.

Participants should bring a laptop with Sage CRM 7.1 or 7.2 standalone installed on their computer. Sales professionals will no doubt find it efficient to use digital business cards to promote their services to clients and to maintain contact with other professionals.
