Laguna Niguel welcomes Italy for a weekend of family fun

September 6, 2012 by

‘La Dolce Vita’ means to enjoy all life offers and, this fall, Laguna Niguel is offering residents the chance to enjoy a bit of Italian-style excitement.

Visitors can delight in amazing foods like pizza, pasta, and gelato, join the grape stomp and spaghetti eating competition, or just take a stroll all through the festival and enjoy the breathtaking artwork. The kids can play while the adults sip the Italian beer and wine and listen to the great Italian performers. Guests should not forget to stop and shop among the vendors while keeping their eyes out for Italian celebrities.

Admission and parking is free. The event also includes dancing, singing, booths, pizza dough tossing, chalk street art, and a tournament for bocce ball. The event came about by Ron Perella, a city board member, along with Lions Club president Mark Snider. With their combined efforts, and those of a few others, Laguna Niguel now has a signature annual event for the city and it is one it can be very proud to call its own.

Italy comes to Laguna Niguel on Saturday, October 6, from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and Sunday, October 7, from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Proceeds from the festival go to the Sons of Italy and the Lions Club for their charities. Attendees in their thousands are expected and print companies have probably already done the poster printing and banner printing for this wonderful Italian festival. Visit the festival website for further information.
