La Palma to get in spirit for Halloween
September 3, 2012 by James
The community of La Palma is known for hosting fun family events and this Halloween will be no different, with ‘Spookfest’ added to list of fun events for families and children. La Palma Central Park, located at 7821 Walker Street, will be the venue for this frighteningly fun-packed event.
Providing a safe environment for trick-or-treating and Halloween activities is the primary goal, along with giving the children a ‘spooktacular’ experience to remember for a lifetime. A costume contest will be held for various age divisions, with prizes given to winners in each group. The carnival games will thrill attendees of all ages, while the Goblin Gulch will be an area specifically for kids aged under five years old.
Other great programs that are offered by the La Palma Community Center are Fitness Run for Fun, La Palma Days, older adult programming, Fit N Fun, Tiny Tots Day Camps, and teen programs that give the teenagers of the community a safe and fun place to hang out.
Ghosting into La Palma on October 31 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, print companies have probably completed the poster printing and banner printing for the ghoulish evening of Halloween fun. Banners are good for decorating events, either inside or outside. If it rains that night, however, the carnival will have to be cancelled and no rain date set is currently set.
