Family-friendly Halloween coming to Central Park
October 9, 2013 by Lisa
La Palma residents will once again have a safe, kid-friendly Halloween event to attend with their families this year. The annual Halloween Carnival is returning to Central Park, and kids and families of all ages are welcome.
Parents are welcome to bring their children for the entire evening, or simply stop in before or during their trick-or-treating. Organizers of the event describe it as a “safe, family-oriented alternative” to the trick-or-treat experience, but it is also a community celebration of the holiday.
The 2013 Halloween celebration will feature a Hollywood theme. Families can expect themed carnival games, a ‘Hollywood Maze of Terror’ experience, and even a ‘Goblin Gulch’ for kids under the age of five. There will also be a costume contest, and several prizes will be awarded to children based on age divisions.
Booths are still available for the event, and local businesses and community members are invited to book one for the evening. All booth ideas and contributions are appreciated. More information is available on the La Palma City website or by contacting the La Palma Recreation and Community Service Department.
A local printing company can create promotional materials, like posters, flyers, postcards, and banners. With a yearly event, like the Halloween Carnival, organizers can use photos and information from previous years’ events to create promotional materials that catch the eye and create the right expectations for the festivities.
The yearly community carnival is perfectly timed to run from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm on October 31.
