Walk-a-Thon and Summer Festival among July highlights
July 10, 2012 by James
Even though it may be relatively early in the month, local print companies will probably be at least as busy as residents, with a webinar, festival, and networking workshop all taking place during the next few weeks.
Things start in a couple of days with a Micropreneur Webinar being hosted on Thursday, July 12. Free for members of Irvine’s business community and conveniently held at noon, this next segment of Ultimate Entrepreneurs’ Mythbusters has been going under the title “Start-Up Finance.” Unique in that these meet-ups are hosted online, decision-makers cannot go wrong stopping in and hearing what Virginia Lorimor of WIN Companies and Bill Waldo of TriTech SBDC have to say about the logistics of financing a company.
Where printing services like poster printing and banner printing are probably being put to use is in the lead-up to the ISCC Walk-a-Thon and Summer Festival taking place this Sunday, July 15. Being put together with the intention of raising funds for cancer research, residents at large are being given an opportunity to show solidarity in supporting a good cause. Featuring games, food, and a bit of friendly competition, the festival will be nothing less than well-organized.
The month slows down a little bit near the end, with Mary Belden-McGrath of Driven for Life Inc. hosting “Ramp Up Your ‘Wow Factor’ in Networking” on July 27. According to the website, this event is an interactive session that will to cover the basics of how business professionals can start getting more out of their networking efforts. Going from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, it will not do any harm to register for this one.
