Tickets are on sale now for the Contemporary Dance Series at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, and patrons can save $5 a ticket when they purchase two or more shows at one time.

Upcoming shows include ‘The Oracle’ by Meryl Tankard on Tuesday, February 26, in which Australian dancer Paul White offers a new version of Stravinksy’s ‘Rite of Spring’. Please note that this show contains nudity and adult themes.

Moving into March, ‘DanceBrazil’, offers martial arts and Afro-Brazilian rhythms in this contemporary dance on Wednesday, March 13. The ‘Spellbound Contemporary Ballet’ on Tuesday, April 2, will then feature a dance company from Rome currently making its debut tour in the United States.

‘Ballet BC’ also makes its United States debut with a production on Saturday, May 11. This innovative new dance company was recently named by Dance Magazine as a company to watch.

Purchasers of packages will also receive advance notice of future dance productions and will also receive priority when purchasing seats for the new dance season. For more information, or to order tickets, call the box office at (949) 854-4646.

The Irvine Barclay Theatre is located at 4242 Campus Drive, Irvine and also offers ballets, symphonies, and plays. A small theatre with only 750 seats means every seat offers a close and intimate view of the stage which personalizes the theatre experience for patrons, while poster printing offers a great way for them to remember their visit.

Details on upcoming productions are available on the theater’s website.
