Irvine Chamber to offer free SCORE counseling

April 21, 2012 by

The Irvine Chamber of Commerce projects to end the month of April strong with a SCORE counseling session, an Emerging Professionals lunch, and a Legislative Affairs Committee meet-up taking place one after another.

In the case of these events, the action begins April 24th with the SCORE counseling session. Starting at 9:00 am and ending just after lunch at 1:00 pm, members of Irvine’s business community are being invited to call up the chamber and schedule an appointment.

Whether dealing with the specifics of getting health insurance for employees or sorting out the logistics of a marketing campaign that features catalog printing, this is a chance to talk it over with experienced business owners and entrepreneurs who have been there before. Since these sessions are free, there’s very little risk involved with booking a consultation.

The following day at 11:30 am, Emerging Professionals Lunch and Learn is going to be taking place through the chamber. Priced at just $10 for Irvine Chamber members and $15 for guests, the Emerging Professionals meet-up will once again tackling a subject that’s very relevant to the needs of entrepreneurs and career-oriented individuals as a whole: personal branding. With Michelle Mallen of the UC Irvine Career Center giving the presentation, there’s no question that this is another chamber-sponsored event worth attending.

Finally, the Legislative Affairs Committee will be taking a look at the latest developments where the law is concerned. Dedicated to ensuring that businesses are put in a position to succeed when it comes to government regulation, the committee’s findings are definitely something to keep an eye on.
