Irvine residents can enjoy a walk in the park while learning about the restoration of the area this weekend at the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park.

The walk begins at 8:30 am this Saturday, December 14, and will be led by Orange County Parks Resource Specialist Rick Schaffer. Participants should meet at the Ranger headquarters, 28373 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Niguel.

Participants will travel 2.5 miles through water and grassland habitats and the route is suitable for those age 7 and up. For more information, call (949) 497-8324. Parking is $3 per vehicle.

At 10:00 am, there will be a different scene as locals are invited to head on over to the first annual Holly Jolly Bazaar Mixer and Holiday Drive, which will be held at Studio Pink, 3011 Newport Blvd., in Newport Beach.

This is a networking event, so guests should be sure to have plenty of digital business cards to pass out. It is also a drive to collect clothing and food for those in need.

Another holiday meet and greet will happen with Disney star Peyton List at 10:00 am on Saturday at the Westfield Main Place Mall, 2800 North Main Street in Santa Ana.

A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to Girls on the Run, a program that inspires females to be healthy, confident, and joyful.

Adults, meanwhile, can spend their time at 1:00 pm on Saturday with the 2nd annual Newport Beach Santa Crawl, which begins at Malarky’s Irish Pub, 3011 Newport Blvd. and visits the best bars in town. Participants should dress as Santa or Santa’s helper.
