An introduction to chair massage will be offered tomorrow morning at the Community Center 102, 15744 Goldenwest Street, Huntington Beach.

Participants will receive 6 Holistic Wellness Certificate hours while they learn how to give oil-free massages with clients in a sitting position. The workshop will focus on the often tense areas of the shoulders, neck, upper back, and arms.

Tips will be included on acupressure points, as well as massage techniques. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely. A materials fee of $5 is required at the workshop, which begins at 10:00 am. For more information, call (714) 892-7711.

The massage class should be ideal for those who attend the Tech Titans Mobile App Design and spend hours in front of the computer. This class is geared to kids ages 8 to 13 and will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 12, also at Community Center 102.

Kids will learn how to create their own applications, including creating characters and story elements using Game Salad software. They will also be taught how to publish their app to the Android and Apple stores. Participants should bring pens or pencils and a snack.

Kids can also go beyond apps and learn web design at the IVC: Summer Camp. This will begin at 9:00 am tomorrow at the Irvine Valley College and is open to youngsters of ages 10-18. Call (949) 451-5100 for details. Postcard printing is an inexpensive way to let residents know of activities like these.
