Fairytales, free coffee, and fireworks to finish March

Everyone loves a good fairytale, and the classic ‘Cinderella’ will be performed this weekend at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, just minutes away from Huntington Beach, marking part of an action-packed end to March in the area.

This production features life-size puppets and classical music by Prokofiev from the ballet. Performances are only 45 minutes long and are geared towards children aged 5 – 11. A ‘Musical
Carnival’ will be held one hour before the 10:00 am showing and after the 11:30 am showing where kids will be able to meet the musicians and enjoy free hands on activities.

It all takes place this Saturday, March 23. Show times are 10:00 am and 11:30 am and tickets are $19 – $39. Poster printing will no doubt make special events like ‘Cinderella’ more memorable when they are hanging on a child’s wall as a reminder of a fun family time.

Also this Saturday, at 10:00 am, the Cafecito Organico will host a free coffee course that will inform participants on the variety of different coffee drink flavorings that do not use sugar alternatives or processed sugar.

Lastly, local vendors should be aware that the deadline is fast approaching to submit applications to sell fireworks in the city of Huntington Beach.

All non-profits interested in selling fireworks at one of the city’s 10 available locations need to have their applications submitted by March 31. A raffle will be held to determine the winning applicants, and the application can be downloaded on the city’s website.
