Job hunters can get inside tips on everything from résumé writing to job acceptance at the Guide to an Effective Job Search Strategy taking place at the Argosy University, 1005 Atlantic Avenue in Alameda tomorrow – just 20 minutes from Hayward.

This is the fourth of a seven-part series which will guide jobseekers through each stage of a search for employment. Seminars will be held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.

Job seekers will learn how to create a job, develop new strategies by asking for help, and create a better résumé.

The workshop is led by professional recruiter Dean Tracy, founder of the National Leadership and Career Management Advisory Group. Printing services can be utilized to prepare and print professional looking resumes and job applications. This workshop starts at noon on Wednesday, August 14.

Also tomorrow is a workshop on design, which will be held at 5:00 p.m. at His Lordship’s, 199 Seawall Drive in Berkeley.

The workshop is sponsored by the Lean Construction Institute. Guest speakers include Jennifer Hastings, Tracy Gordon, and Romano Nickerson of the Boulder Associates.

This workshop will focus on the software Last Planner and how it can be implemented in all phases of design. Gordon and Hastings use this program to lead their design teams and to encourage their junior staff to learn.

They will also discuss how to find a balance between work life and personal life, and a question-and-answer period will be held after each speaker. For more information, call (510) 843-2733.
