A trio of business-minded events are on hand next week to help people brush up their entrepreneurial skills.

Local business gurus can learn better ways to collaborate with a class taking place tomorrow at the David Brower Center: HUB Berkeley, 2150 Allston Way in Berkeley, less than 30 minutes from Hayward.

This workshop is designed for anyone who needs to develop better collaboration skills. It will be led by Fedor of the Center for Intercultural Communication, who has educated more than 200 participants in cultural intelligence. It kicks off at 11:00 am on Monday, November 4.

Guests can follow this up by developing the area of networking at the Oakland Roundtable, which begins at 7:30 am on Tuesday, November 5 at the Ordway Building, 1 Kaiser Plaza, Oakland.

The roundtable is designed for 10 to 15 people and focuses on current topics in the business world. For more information call Joycelyn Calvin-White at (510) 271-6331.

Finally, the Entrepreneur’s Guide to Crowdfunding will teach participants how to raise money by using the Internet to collect donations.

Participants will learn the definition and historical evolution of crowdfunding, analysis of leading portals, an overview of investor methodology, case studies, tax implications, and strategies to ensure successful campaigning. It is hoped that students will become more effective at using this source of income to fund a project after attending this class.

Participants will no doubt want to make sure they have plenty of digital business cards to pass around at this event, which begins at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 5, at the Popup Hood & Hub, 1423 Broadway in Oakland.
